Aims of the Course:

Aims of the Course:

• To enable the students aware of the oriental legislation, its history and evolution through ages.

Objectives:

• To give a general idea of the principles in the legislation process and lawgiving.
• To make the students aware of the developments and different stages of oriental legislation in its history.
• To introduce the methods, terminology employed in the process of legislation.

AFU1C01 - Functional Arabic- I

Aims of the Course:

• This course intends to familiarize the students with the concept of Functional Arabic as an international language. And to highlight the methods, techniques, strategies employed in the learning-teaching of Arabic. To help the students gain an insight into the evolution of language and the role of Arabic as an international medium of communication.

Objectives:

• To make the student competent professional and functional Arabic
• To help the students gain an insight into the evolution of language and the role of Arabic as an international medium of communication.
• To enable the students to tap he resources of ICT in the acquisition of communication skills.

Aims of the Course:

• This course aims at making the student capable of commercial and creative writing ranging from letters to articles for different media.

Objectives:

• To create in the student an awareness of the basic theories and concepts related to Commercial and media writing in Arabic and to give them basic training in writing for the newspaper
• A broad based notion of the theories related to Commercial and media writing in Arabic.

AFU5B08- Rhetorics and Prosody

Aims of the Course:

• To train students to speak and write effectively, as well as critically understand and analyze literary texts. The main aim of the study of Prosody is to make the students familiar with the meters of Arabic poetry and train them in composing Arabic poetry.

Objectives:

• To teach the student the fundamental principles of Rhetoric
• To have an overall picture of socio-political conditions of Modern period
• To make the student capable to evaluate and criticize a literary work.

Aims of the Course:

• This course intends to introduce the salient features of medieval Arabic literature along with the life sketches of literary figures of the period.

• To Evaluate the elegant literary tradition of medieval period

AFU6B14- Novel & Short Story

Aims of the Course:

• This course indents to create general awareness of modern Arabic literature both in the form of Novel and short story in the students.

Objectives:

• To acquaint with the development of Novel and Short story in Arabic literature
• To appreciate major in works in novel and Short story in Arabic
• To assess the trends and recent development in modern Arabic novel and Short story
• To acquaint with prominent novelists and poets drawn from across the Arab world.

AFU6B15- Literary Criticism

Aims of the Course:

• Under this course, the students are expected to attain a thorough understanding about what is Literary Criticism and the ability of evaluation the literary works based on some accepted principles in a very objective manner.

Objectives:

• To give introductory knowledge about the terms related to Literary Criticism
• To give an awareness on development of Criticism in Arabic Language and the development of literary Schools in Arab World
• To make the student evaluate the literary texts in accordance with methodology of Criticism

AFU6B16- Project

• As part of the requirements for BA Programme every student must do a project either individually or as a group, under the supervision of a teacher and submit the report/dissertation to the University according to the guidelines.
Learning Outcome;
• Project work is meant for providing an opportunity to approach and study a problem in a systematic and scientific manner.
• It provides them an opportunity to apply the tools they have studied and learn the art of conducting a study and presenting the report in a structured way.
